We had a single story extension at the back of our house and we're absolutely delighted with the work Rock Bubble did for us. We originally quoted from three building firms and I'm so pleased my feeling was the right one. The rest of the build has been similarly straightforward - we communicate regularly with Tony by phone/whatsapp - we are now living in the house with a few small jobs remaining (the team have been flexible with the other tradespeople that we have had involved) - and are delighted with our house. I would (and have!) recommend to friends and family - when we have a few more pennies in the pot then I would not hesitate to get back in touch with the team for more work in the future.
Conversions – General
Very happy with the work completed and the finished job. Tony led the work on our project and unlike most builders was onsite every day. This gave a continuity to the project that most builders don’t. It also meant that the minor details, which make a big difference to the finished build, got much more thinking time from Tony as he wasn’t stretched across other jobs. Communication was very good, and polite and Tony worked hard to minimise the disruption to our everyday living. A high level of trust built as I allowed Tony to finish key aspects whilst we were away.
Darren was also onsite almost everyday and was very friendly, polite and worked very hard to get the best finish. Darren worked across several trade areas with excellent results, this was a benefit as it meant less people visiting site and quicker work as Darren could perform several jobs.
Peter also visited later on and performed excellent joinery work. We had difficult sliding doors to fit which were much trickier than expected, but Peter worked hard to get the finish right and didn’t try and rush the job.
All the other trades that visited were also polite and hardworking, and worked to meet the requirements and didn’t rush to get things done.

Extension & Refurbishment
I came across Rock Bubble at’ My builder’ and got a quick response. Tony visited the site and provided quote on the same day (I never expected a quote on the same day and never looked at my e-mail until I was asked to check. That quick was the response).
Things moved pretty quick and work began. I must tell we loved Rock bubble and the name they choose fit well for the team.
We had a very smooth and pleasant experience with the whole team and have completed our dream project to our satisfaction. Tony messaged after my advertisement for a total refurbishment of a 1-bedroomed flat – kitchen, bathroom, unvented cylinder, lighting throughout, fire door updated and wardrobe. The work was started promptly and finished within the given timescale. The refurbishment was done to a very high standard and any add ons were done promptly. The costing was done fairly and all Rock Bubble employees were very pleasant and easy to work with. He spent the time at the beginning to understand what I wanted and worked with me throughout the project to make it a reality. It was a big job including walls being removed/replaced, a complete re-wire, re-plumb, new bathroom, under stairs WC and kitchen amongst many other jobs involving almost every trade you can think of and he leant his knowledge and experience every step of the way to make things as seamless as possible, managing unexpected problems and even getting things done quicker than I expected. He kept in touch throughout which was really helpful as I was only able to visit the site twice a week and was always responsive and available to talk through any questions I had. It can be hard to find a good, reliable builder who listens and wants to work with you but Rock Bubble and Tony especially do just that! Thanks again!

Rock bubble did a fantastic job with our recent kitchen refurb and we couldn’t recommend them enough. They did a rip out of an old kitchen, removal of supporting wall including insertion of steel beam and installed our new kitchen. Contact with rock bubble was easy throughout. - Excellent craftsmanship - End to end, back to brick refurbishment was completed to a very high standard in all areas - attracted many interested parties as soon as it’s on the rental market and received excellent feedback from those who viewed the property.
- Relevant experience for an end to end solution - Tony and the team worked on many similar projects and they showed that they can apply their knowhow to deliver my requirements. They have also got all the connection within the trade so I didn’t have to deal with multiple vendors separately myself which is a big plus.
- Solid project management and problem solving - Tony was able to steer the project from start to finish, delivered every thing close to our agreed timeline and budget. What started out as a single bathroom job turned into 2, and we cannot be happier with the end result. Pete and Tony at MBS have done the most amazing job and we cannot recommend them highly enough. From start to finish the guys have been tremendous - helping us to decide the optimum layout for our bathroom & downstairs toilet re-furb; sourcing extra fixtures where needed; finding the solutions to unforeseen problems, were reliable turning up early & working full days every day... Before we started the process we felt a bit insecure hiring builders that we had never heard of before, but WOW, these guys totally know what they are doing, are super tidy (cleaning up after each day, are perfectionists to do the job properly, and I'm not sure there is anything they cannot do.
We've really enjoyed the whole experience when actually, jobs like this can often be stressful and frustrating. We're so please with the end result that we find ourselves planning our next job with Pete, Tony & the Team. Kitchen, utility room alteration
Pete, Tony and team have done a great job updating my kitchen and downstairs loo.
They (patiently!) listened to all my ideas and offered suggestions, managing to incorporate a few additional requests while the job was underway, also proactively fixing other issues whilst on-site.
They turned up early, worked late (even on a Saturday to fit my worktops) and tidied after each day.
The quality and quantity of work was great value for the price, which didn’t exceed the estimate (except for materials).
Really pleased with the result and would happily recommend them to others.
